Saved by the Bell...

Well today was the last day of teacher in-service and my room is FINISHED! Well, almost. I have to decorate the bulletin board outside my classroom door but otherwise, I LOVE the way it turned out! I was a little unsure about the murals at first. I was worried that hanging stuff up would make the walls look messy and cluttered and then be too overwhelming for the kiddos. All that worrying for nothing! Check it out...

Way overdue for an update...

Well seeing that it has been over a year, I figured it was time for an update.

I am still currently living at Ft. Hood, TX and JP has now been deployed for 5 months. He's scheduled to come home for R&R sometime in September but we're not sure of an exact date just yet. I just got a new job as a preschool teacher at Belton Christian Preschool. It's only on Tuesdays and Thursdays so on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I'll continue substitute teaching for Killeen Independent School District.

JP is currently working on his FLEP application. FLEP stands for Funded Legal Education Program. If he is accepted, the Army will pay for JP's law school education. However, since law school takes three years to complete, he will committ another three years to Army life. If he is accepted (we find out in December) he will be a student for those 3 years which means he will be non-deployable! THAT is when we plan to start making babies. ;o)

That's basically where we are at this point. Hopefully, I'll get better at updating this thing!
